Methodology and Techniques

Some of the most original pewter work in the world is made by Ray Cox. "Air Cast" and "Natural Colour" are two unique pewtersmith techniques emplyed by Ray.

Pewter is tin/copper alloy, the opposite of old Bronze. "Air Cast" bowls are hand poured revealing texture and color. and "Natural Colour" pieces are two dimensional sculptures featuring the iridescence of the oxidized metal.
